Powder, Ombré, and Combo Brows-what’s the difference?

Ombré Brows

Ombré brows are characterized by a feather soft bulb fading into the body of the brow. Ombré typically suits a client with a bulb that already has hair in it, as an ombré bulb fades out to “barely there” color once healed.

Powder Brows

Powder brows have a more saturated bulb and typically suit a client who has little to no natural brow. The bulbs will still fade out beautifully with healing, but will leave far more color and structure to the bulb once healed.

Nano Combo Brows

This style of brow gives you the look of microblading with hair like strokes in the bulb, fading into a powder brow! Get the look of microblading, without the damage to your skin. This brow is called a nano combo brow because the strokes in the bulb are all performed by machine. This style can be performed on anyone, but appears most natural on clients with a bit of natural brow hair

Brows are a two step process

No matter the style of brow you choose, the process for brows is done in two steps. An initial appointment, and a touch up 6 to 8 weeks later

At your initial appointment, we will map out your shape based off of different points on your face, your bone structure, preference, and natural brow hair. Once agreed upon we will swatch colors on your skin and choose one that best suits your skin tone. Then we tattoo! This appointment start to finish takes about 2.5-3 hours.

6-8 weeks later it’s time for your touch up! This appointment is 1-1.5 hours long. It is inevitable that during the healing process, wether it be because of skin type, scabs coming off prematurely, sleep positions, etc that some parts of the brow may heal slightly lighter then others. That’s what the touchup is for! Touch ups are absolutely necessary. At this appointment I will go over the brow again, saturating it with pigment to being back that crisp shape we started with! Cosmetic tattooing is all about feather light pressure, layering pigment in the skin. If I was to tattoo my clients deep, to keep their brows as dark as they are when fresh, the healed result would be far from soft and natural- which is our goal!

Aftercare is everything. Baby your brows and follow the aftercare and you’ll have a gorgeous healed result!

After these two appointments brows last beautifully for 12-18 months before needing a yearly boost.
